# Daedalus, Zabargad and Rocky's

Daedalus, Zabargad and Rocky's

Best of the Red Sea is exactly what it says. This liveaboard takes in the best the Red Sea has to offer. Some of the best dive sites including Elphinstone, Daedalus, Rocky Island and Zabargad Island. World-renowned dive sites make this memorable liveaboard unique.

Daedalus Reef:

Over 180 km south of Brother Islands, this huge reef is surrounded by sheer walls and strong currents.

The hard corals have grown to enormous size!

Here you have a great chance of seeing the well-known school of hammerheads in the northeast of the reef.

Zabargad:

A top diving area, which is characterized in particular by its versatility. Here you can dive along steep walls, float over drop-offs, experience the open water feeling at the cliff edges, walk around coral towers in the protected shallow area and explore bays, watch fish or simply admire this unique coral garden while swimming past.

An unnamed wreck rests on the north side. The 70-meter-long ship is submerged at a depth of 24 metres. The entire stern is a picture book ruin, with its intact buildings, stairs, railing, davits, portholes, hatches, and bridge.

Rocky Island:

Rocky Island is a legendary diving spot that will make any diver's heart race.

The fringing reef that surrounds the entire island encourages the growth of all kinds of life forms.

The reef walls are full of the most beautiful soft corals, sea fans, sponges, black and fan corals.

Rocky Island is an extremely active reef due to its exposed location and modest reef size. Reef sharks, particularly grey reef sharks and silvertip sharks, as well as manta rays and dolphins, can be observed in the open sea.

Elphinstone Reef:

This reef is known for shark encounters, white tip reef sharks, hammerheads, gray reef sharks, thresher sharks and of course what Elphinstone is famous for: the Longimanus – the oceanic white tip reef shark.

A reef little longer than 300 metres in length is called Elphinstone Reef or Sha'ab Abu Hamra, and it is situated 20 kilometres from Marsa Alam. The breathtaking drop-offs on both sides of the reef extend well over 100 metres.

Strong currents make this a perfect drift dive along sheer walls covered with many species of fish and soft corals. You'll see barracuda, angelfish and hordes of anthias, groupers, moray eels and schools of sweetlips.

To the north, the reef is covered in soft corals. An archway at 65 metres deep at the southern end of Elphinstone is much beyond recreational diving limitations and is best suited for tec divers. This location is also visited by white tip sharks on occasion.

Other species of sharks are regular visitors here - whitetip and gray reef sharks, as well as hammerheads and silky sharks can be spotted.

The east side has a huge drop-off, whereas the west side is less steep and sandy. This area is rich in soft corals, sponges, sea fans, and enormous crinoids.

Brothers & Elphinstone Reef is a great combination for divers who love walls and big fish.
